Your Shepherd knows you – Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran
Dear friend, according to John 10:14 the Lord says, “I am the Good Shepherd. I know My own and My own know Me.” What a joy it is to know that God knows you! Not only that God wants you to know Him too.
Yes, God wants you to have a deep personal relationship with Him. He is your Good Shepherd! He knows you personally and intimately. He literally knows your heart inside out. That’s why we rejoice in the presence of God. Sometimes we do not know about ourselves. But our Good Shepherd knows us very well. He is familiar with all our ways. This, I have experienced personally. I got married when I was 21 years old. I was so young and timid. All my family members – my husband and my in-laws were serving God. But then my husband’s parents said, “Let this girl be a daughter to us. We wouldn’t mind even if she stays at home and doesn’t involve herself in the ministry.” But God had a different plan! By allowing so many afflictions in my life the Lord brought me closer to Him. Even I was not aware of myself or my calling. Even though there were prophecies spoken about me that I would be serving the Lord in the future, I did not believe them. Yet the Lord in His mercies beautifully led me to serve Him. One after the other I went through afflictions but the Lord stood with me and comforted me. He was very close to me in those difficult times. Still today He is my Good Shepherd, leading me to serve Him mightily.
Dear friend, the more I went through trials in my life, the more I realised that God is with me so close. And today the Lord is using me to give revelations to people. Through God’s word that comes out of my mouth, people are blessed. Today, God has made me know Him more and more as the Bible says, “Through many tribulations, you have to enter into the Kingdom of God.” Even today as I minister before thousands of people, the Lord stands with me, strengthens me and does miracles. If God could use such a timid person like me this much, how much more the Lord can use you? May the Lord be with you as your Good Shepherd and make you know Him more and more in the days to come.
PRAYER:
Loving Lord, I thank You for Your beautiful promise. I thank You for being my Good Shepherd and knowing my heart in and out. Lord, I pray that You will grant me a heart that will seek You wholeheartedly and follow Your lead. Lord, help me to trust You completely and know You more and more no matter the situation. I want to experience Your love, Your presence and Your grace every day of my life. Lord, fill me with Your goodness so that I will overflow with Your presence and be used by You mightily in the days to come. In Jesus’ name, I pray Amen.
