Your Helper In Trouble
My precious child of God, I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! Today, let us meditate on Psalm 50:15, “Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” Yes, this world is full of darkness. Suddenly, accidents happen, and lives are lost. I, too, have faced many problems like that. But remember Hebrews 13:6, which says, “The Lord is my Helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” In those troubling days, the Lord is your only Helper. So, you need not be worried. You need not fear. You can boldly say, “What can the devil do to me? What can these things do to me?” If you set your eyes on God, you will speak like that with confidence. The Lord will give you great hope. Hallelujah!
We have experienced this in our own lives many times. People used to speak rubbish about our family life and about our ministry. But we didn’t look to them. We looked to Jesus. And the Lord gave us peace, a peace that passeth all understanding. He delivered us mightily from all those unwanted talks. That’s why Psalm 145:18 says, “The Lord is near to all who call upon Him in truth.” We raised our son in a godly way, hoping he would grow to be a godly boy. But at a young age, the devil tried to take him away from Jesus. He fell into darkness, and we didn’t know what to do. So, I said, “Let me spend one full day in fasting and prayer just for his deliverance from the clutches of the devil.” One week passed. Two weeks passed. Three weeks passed. Then the miracle happened! God brought him out of darkness and led him into His divine holiness. At just 17 years old, the Lord began to use him mightily.
Yes, my friend, you may also feel like darkness surrounds you. You may be crying, “I am in darkness, I don’t know how to come out of it!” But I say to you, “Cling to Jesus. Call upon Him in the day of trouble.” God will surely deliver you. He will not let you down.
PRAYER:
Loving heavenly Father, I call upon You today, just as Your Word says in Psalm 50:15. In the midst of trouble, darkness, and fear, I lift my eyes to You, my only Helper and Deliverer. I will not fear, because You are with me. What can the enemy do when You are by my side? Fill my heart with peace that passeth all understanding. Strengthen me to cling to You, trust in You, and wait patiently for Your mighty deliverance. I believe You are near to all who call upon You in truth. Let Your light shine into every dark place in my life. I receive Your help and Your victory. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen.
